Superb Large Art Nouveau Jugendstil Secessionist Mirror by Achille Gamba for WMF.
 
An imposing and beautiful large size silvered pewter vanity/dressing table swing mirror in the highly stylised Jugendstil Secessionist style.
 
The bevelled glass mirror is pivoted on its whiplash form stand with jewellery receptacle and adjustable locking screws allowing it to be positioned at any angle. There is a removable cosmetic dish with a simulated water fountain in the form of an animal's head beneath the mirror plate.  
 
Condition: A scarcely seen mirror in remarkable and excellent original condition, retaining its original silver plating and mirror plate.
 
Size: 78cm high x 34cm width x 26cm depth.
 
Circa: 1910.
 
Markings: Stamped Achille Gamba and various marks to back of mirror plate and back of base.
