Rare William Moorcroft Wisteria Hinged Trinket Box & Cover William Hutton Silver Mounts
 
A rare example of a William Moorcroft pottery hinged trinket box and cover in the Wisteria design with silver plated mounts by William Hutton of Sheffield.
 
Of fine quality and in superb condition, the Moorcroft has been set with silver plated mounts which opens and closes perfectly with the hinge operating well. It is likely that it was sold by Liberty & Co of Regent Street London.
 
Fully marked and impressed MADE IN ENGLAND MOORCROFT 1262 with green painted monograms to both base and lid together with William Hutton Sheffield marks to the silver plate.
 
Condition: In excellent original condition and free from unsightly crazing, staining, chips or cracks. The silver plate is also in good condition and its hinge remaining intact.
 
Marks: Impressed marks and model code with underglaze green monogram.
 
Size: 13cm diameter x 7cm height.
