Keswick K.S.I.A. Arts and Crafts Copper Three Panel Screen designed by Harold Stabler FRSA

A superb three-fold screen profusely decorated with pomegranate sprays and foliage in repousse copper clearly stamped KSIA to each panel, mounted in a figured walnut frame with double action hinges allowing for various display configurations,  c1900.

Designed by Harold Stabler FRSA, the screen is an ingenious example and high quality execution of his early design work as manager of the Keswick School of Industrial Art.

A useful and wonderful example of Lake District Arts and Crafts furniture and metalwork in exemplary condition. The panels retain their natural patina, the frame and double action hinges operate perfectly so the screen is sturdy and ready to use.
