Arthur Simpson, The Handicrafts, Arts and Crafts Tiger Oak & Leather Easy Foot Stool
 
An excellent example of an easy foot stool by Arthur Simpson of The Handicrafts, Kendal, England, c. 1920 in beautiful rich fumed tiger oak with leather webbing.
 
The understated design is simple yet ingenious utilising Simpson's superb craftsmanship skills. 
 
Importantly the leather webbing remains intact and there are no issues with the oak frame and joints.
 
Marks: The original Arthur Simpson retail label remains to the underside and stamped numbers 9595.
